Ending the Season Real Strong!!!!

Well the Eagles truly are the best team not to make the playoffs. Ending the season with four solid wins and clicking on all cylinders was a good sign. I only wish they could continue on because I think they would be the most feared team to have to play in teh NFC. I've seen articles printed and heard discussions on Talk Radio how everyone is breathing alittle easier knowing they will not have to run in the Eagles in the playoffs!!! Looking at the last four games, its easy to understand why!!

The NFC East was like, I don't want to win it, why don't you win it!!! None of either the Giants, Cowboys or Eagles deserved to be NFC East Champions. The Eagles by virtue of their horrible start don't deserve it but its funny how short a memory you can get when your team gets hot down teh stretch. The Giants to me are not a very good either but I must admit, I erally don't like the Giants but I was impressed with Eli Manning's performance this weekend. Granted, the Cowboys didn't get any pressure on him so he did have alot of time. And Victor Cruz? I can't understand why this guy isn't in the Pro Bowl. What a year he's had!!
The leaves only the Cowboys and they also looked horrible going down the stretch, which is typical for this team. The only difference being that I didn't think Romo played too badly on Sunday. The rest of the team did though.

So what's in store for the Eagles next year? Will Desean be back? Will McCoy win the rushing title? Will Vick take control of the NFL from week one and dazzle us once again with both his feet and his arm? Will Nambdi revert to his All-Pro days from the Raider to lead a vicious defense. I'd love to hear your thought on the 2012-2013 Eagles. Will Andy Reid be at the helm? Where do you think they need help?

I'll let you, the public throw out some comments first and I'll chime in with my predictions!!

Final Week of the Season Against the Redskins

The final week of the NFL regular season has the Washington Redskins traveling north on Interstate-95 to the Linc to face the red hot Philadelphia Eagles. Neither team are playing for anything but pride and the Eagles have been playing the best football of all NFL teams in the past three weeks by embarassing the Giants, Jets, and Cowboys in consecutive weeks. They now place the bull's eye on the Redskins and look for another pounding to be handed out by the Eagles. Look for Maclin and Jackons to have big days off the arm of Michael Vick. The defense ahould step up as well making for a long afternoon for the Redskins.

To only imagine what could have been for the Eagles had they gotten on track early in the season as opposed to starting out 1-3 by bloeing several bug 4rth quarters leads at home. Oh well, as the saying goes, too little too late for the Eagles this year.

Watch out for us in the 2012-2013 season!!!!

Eagles vs. Cowboys

So this coming week is the big showdown between the Eagles and the Cowboys. All eyes will be on this game as the NFC East is still up for grabs. The inconsistant Cowboys are coming off a big win as are the Eagles. The Eagles made he Jets look silly this past week. They've got all their ke players back and healthy so the Cowboys better be worried. Lesean McCoy looks to continue his league leading scoring by getting to the end zone once again multiple times. I'd also look for DeSean Jackson to have a big game as he heads into what are probably his last two games with the Eagles. He needs to prove to the league that he is worth taking a risk on. Maclin looked real good this past week and Vick is back to his old self. All this adds up to a long day for the Cowboys. I also look for the December jinx on Tony Romo to show up as well. This guy has struggled every year in December.

To top this off, the Eagle have a big fan section in East Rutherford, NJ as the Giants are looking for the Eagles to knock of the Cowboys to help their playoff chances.

All this adds up to a great game this coming Sunday. Let me know your thoughts on this upcoming game by adding a comment below!!

This Sunday, 12/18 - It's the Jets

This week the New York Jets visit the Linc as the Eagles play host to their New Jersey neighbors. With the playoffs still not totally off the agenda, the Eagles need to continue to win while both the Cowboys and Giants lose. I would like to see nothing better than to see the Eagles stick it to the Jets. Vick had an OK game last week and I'll mark that up to being out for a few weeks. Hopefully now in his second week back, he will be firing on all cylinders. I look for him to open up the passing game, and take to the ground with his feet.

Couple that with Lesean McCoy running rampant on the Jets D-line and I see a big Eagles win. With such a difficult season, it will be nice to see them close it out with some really big wins.

What's your thoughts on this weeks game? Leave a comment below. I would love to hear how you think this will turn out.

Miami Dolphins Game

So I can only assume the Dolphins are licking their chops as they have the Eagles on their schedule this week. That only means the Dolphins are playing a game that they can actually win, playing the low life Eagles. As an Eagles fan, how embarassing is that. Teams like the Dolphins and the Seahawks look forward to playing the Eagles so they can get a win. That's what things have come down to in Philly.

Time to let the 3rd and 4rth stringers play these games. Might as well give them a chance since there is nothing to lose.

Looking forward to the Phillies camp opening in the Spring. Nothing else to look forward to in Philadelphia this winter.

I would love to hear your comments on thoughts and expectations for the remainder of the season. Should they play Desean anymore? Should they just let Vick fully recover and not hurry to bring him back? Do you simply run McCoy on every play in hopes that he wins the TD scoring title and possibly the rushing title? Your comments are wanted!!!

Seatle Seahawks Game

Thursday Night Game Against the Seahawks
The Eagles need to come back in a short week to take on the Seatle Seahawks in a Thursday night game which will be pretty uneventful. Lets face it, the Seahawks don't deserve to be on the same field with the Eagles in a normal season but this is no normal season for the Eagles. They are now just playing for pride as their playoff hopes got shattered this past weekend against the Patriots. I'm not giving up on the Eagles though. Since I have no playoffs to look forward to, I'm just hoping to see some exciting football the rest of the season. Hopefully, they will get back a few of their injured players (Vick, Maclin, Nnambdi, ..). I just hope they all come back with something to prove. Vick needs to jsut drop the gloves and get down to work. He needs to show the NFL that his Eagles are the most potent offense in the NFL by lighting up the scoreboard. Distributing the ball to the speedy receivers while handing off to McCoy, and then filling in with some fancy footwork of his own.

Let's turn up the intensity and finish the season by having the rest of the NFL saying that they are glad they don't have to run into the Eagles in the playoffs!!

The Nov. 27 Patriots Game

Big game this weekend against the Patriots. Eagles got the big win last week against the Giants. That's the first of 7 straight wins the Eagles need to reel off in orde rto just make the playoffs.

My opinion is that the Eagles could pull off another upset in this game. We all know the Patriots have a terrible secondary. This could be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Eagles. DeSean should reak havoc on the Patriots secondary. Hopefully Maclin will be back as well. Maybe Steve Smith will step up as well. The only question is who will be throwing the ball to these receivers? Is it Vick? Is it Young? In my opinion, it doesn't matter.

The O-line needs to open up some holes for Shady McCoy. If they can't, get him the ball on short passes out of the backfield or in screens. this guy is too good not to get him the ball somehow.

The big test will be on the Eagles secondary. For me, Nnamdi is on the hot seat. He will need to bring his "A" game as Tom Brady will simply have his way with the Eagles defense. The key to beating the Patriots is to outscore Tom Brady. The more we keep him off the field, the better.

Go Eagles!!!
